2005 Steve Vai – Real Illusions: Reflections
Real Illusions: Reflections is the seventh studio album by guitar virtuoso Steve Vai, released on February 22, 2005, through Epic Records. Vai describes the album as a “rock fable,” serving as the first installment of a planned trilogy. The narrative follows a “truth-seeking madman” and a godsent figure named Pamposh, who visits a town to construct a mysterious “Church”. Each track represents a vignette of this complex story, further explored in the sequel, The Story of Light (2012).

That’s a fascinating project with the trilogy idea. I always appreciate albums with a strong concept like this.
