Shannon Forrest, Sun City

Forever is the debut studio album by the Danish synthwave trio Sun City, released on November 11, 2025. Heavily inspired by 1980s arena pop, rock, and nostalgia, the album combines synthesizer layers with upbeat production and smooth, retro saxophone leads.

From Chris Catton: Shannon plays the drums on “This Time”. He was invited for a drum tech/recording masterclass at the academy where I studied, and he wanted to finish the class by recording drums for a track. As we knew each other already at that point, he had asked me to bring a Sun City demo ready for drum recording if we got the time. So it’s basically one take + the practice round where he heard the song for the first time, and I did minor editing.
