1978 Il Était Une Fois – Il Était Une Fois
Il Était Une Fois is the self-titled fourth and final studio album by the French variety-pop group Il Était Une Fois, released in 1978. The album is sometimes released under the title Pomme. The album was written during a period of high emotional tension. Many of the songs reflect the real-life romantic separation between lead singer Joëlle Mogensen and primary songwriter Serge Koolenn. This gave the record a noticeably more melancholic, mature tone compared to their earlier upbeat radio hits. Recorded in the United States at the Studio In The Country in Bogalusa, Louisiana, the album serves as a poignant farewell from the band.
