Smokin‘ in the Pit is a critically acclaimed double live album by the jazz fusion supergroup Steps (later known as Steps Ahead). Recorded over three nights in December 1979 at the “Six Pit Inn” in Tokyo, Japan, the album captures the band’s high-energy acoustic-fusion style.
